I have written an article for Jacobin on the development of Albania’s communist movement, from its beginnings in the liberal-democratic opposition in the 1920s to the transformation into a minor party which ended up organizing an effective anti-fascist resistance movement, and liberating Albania completely without the troops of other Allied countries.
